Stephen Morris, CPA, CCIM
Throughout his career, Mr. Morris has served in various accounting and finance roles in the real estate and technology sectors. He began his career at Ernst & Young, LLP in the real estate audit practice and later served in various executive accounting and finance capacities at several large privately held firms.
In 2013, he founded Morris Financial Advisors, Inc. to provide tax, accounting, finance, and consulting services to primarily real estate and technology companies. In addition, Mr. Morris has developed over 50 multi family units in the city of Los Angeles where he is responsible for sourcing new acquisition opportunities, raising capital, and financial operations.
Mr. Morris is a Certified Public Accountant licensed to practice in California and is a licensed real estate salesperson as well as a member of the CCIM Institute. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Loyola Marymount University where he graduated with honors.
Anne Ancheta, CPA
Ms. Ancheta joined Morris Financial Advisors, Inc. in 2016 as the company's accounting manager. She is a graduate of Ateneo University and a licensed Certified Public Accountant in her native country of the Philippines. From a professional perspective, she has often worked closely with US businesses while leading accounting teams in Manila for some of the largest institutions and multinational companies (Deutsche Bank and Bayer Pharmaceuticals, respectively).
Her background primarily includes financial accounting, reporting, budgeting, accounts payable, and receivable management. She also has an extensive background in process and system migrations, where she would take the lead in implementing an updated workflow.
Robert Ames, CPA
Mr. Ames joined Morris Financial Advisors, Inc. in 2016 and provides a wealth of knowledge relating to banking and regulatory practices. He began his career at California Bank & Trust in the commercial banking unit and was the credit analyst for the largest portfolio within the unit $USD800 million.
Mr. Ames then held the position of Associate National Bank Examiner with the U.S Treasury Department and was a member of a field office responsible for the administration and government oversight of over 15 national banks ranging in size from $USD30 million to $USD10 billion.
Mr. Ames went on to work for Deloitte Touche Tomatsu Limited in South Australia within their internal audit and risk management department. Robert conducted various audits across a range of clients, including private corporations and government agencies.
Prior to joining Morris Financial Advisors, Inc. Robert was a Senior Associate within Westpac Institutional Bank, located in South Australia. Mr. Ames was the lead credit analyst on over 30 bank relationships, many of which were publicly traded companies.
Mr. Ames is a Certified Public Accountant licensed to practice in California and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business from Loyola Marymount University, where he graduated with honors. Robert also holds various credit analyst and banking certifications.
Rea Marohom, CPA
Rea Marohom joined Morris Financial Advisors Inc. in 2018 as a Junior Accountant.
Prior to joining the company, she worked as the General Ledger Supervisor in one of the Philippine's leading companies in the power generation industry, where she was mainly responsible for General Accounting, Periodic Financial Reporting, Accounts Payable processes and handling of Accounting systems. She has also actively participated in process review projects, such as on Asset and Inventory Management system (Oracle and IBM Maximo) and Internal Controls.
Ms. Marohom graduated from Ateneo de Davao University and is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in her native country, the Philippines.
Michelle Masiga, CPA
Michelle Masiga joined Morris Financial Advisors Inc. in 2019.
She started her career working for Amicorp Financial Services as a financial analyst for financial reports in the banking industry and pioneered the Accounting & Bookkeeping Department Unit, supervising a team that is responsible for the general bookkeeping, accounting, tax compliance, financial statement preparations and investment portfolio reporting of clients across Asia, South Americas and Europe.
Prior to joining Morris Financial Advisors, she also worked as a Senior Accountant for D&V Philippines, providing outsourced financial & accounting services to SMEs, CFOs and accounting firms in Australia.
She is also highly experienced with cloud accounting softwares that includes, but is not limited to, MYOB, Quickbooks and XERO.
Ms. Masiga is a graduate of the Ateneo de Davao University and a Certified Public Accountant licensed in the Philippines.
